The Struggles in the Humble Beginning - Jielong was caught during the tail-end period of the call to distance from the Western model of capitalism. During that era, Jielong had to suffer and struggle for its existence and survival through many difficult situations. From a small cottage industry known for its production of switches, Jielong suffered through a series of openings and closings of its plants. Starting from a very basic, dirty, and low technology industry, of which, the state-owned enterprises were not keen to be involved, Jielong managed to find the space for growth and development through the securing of many foreign export orders.
A Breakthrough. With the advent of the reform and opening up of China market, Jielong managed to achieve a great breakthrough. With the introduction of new technology and contributions of young talents, Jielong burst into the market with renewed vitality, in tune with the fast track of national development. Our industrial sales also reached the height of more than 200 million yuan from the low of only 630 thousand yuan earlier.
First-Mover Advantage. Our Township enterprise has been restructured into a modern joint-stock and listed company and is the first batch to go public. Accordingly, the investment has increased dramatically. The company subsidiaries in the packaging and printing industries have also developed from 2-ones to 9-ones. With this rapid success and growth accomplishments, Jielong group began to take shape and expand its scale equivalent to the ranks of large enterprises.
Restructuring for Vitality. Our objective is to reform and to stimulate further growth & vitality. The second round of restructuring was implemented with the aim of breaking the deadlock in the system. The process involves completing the transformation of collective ownership to private enterprises, re-stimulate the vitality, and embark on the fast tracking of in-depth industrial layout and all-round development.
Development through Integration and Innovation. With this objective, we plan to accelerate the integration of printing resources with the aim to promote professional development. In line with this, Jielong plans to expand its business and trade services, as well as cultural and creative industries according to local conditions. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances or any unexpected economic downturns, Jielong has its contingency plan ready through asset integration.
